The Concept
Multivarious interfaces to supply time and date information as programmable serial time messages via RS 232 / RS 422 or as audio frequency time codes such as IRIG, AFNOR, DCF-FSK as well as precise, programmable time pulses. Network processor with TCP/IP stack for synchronization of computers on LAN with SNTP. SNMP traps for central monitoring of the device. Can be synchronized with numerous time references such as DCF, MSF, GPS, LAN and ASCII time messages via serial interface.
SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol)
The SNTP protocol allows synchronization of distributed clocks to the precise time, i.e. the internal clock of the PC's connecter to the LAN.
It is simple to install, easy to use and an effective way to synchronize all computers on a LAN to the correct time.
SNMP (Simple Network Manager Protocol)
In case of malfunction (alarm) SNMP traps are sent to a supervising management station.
e-mail
In case of any irregularity, the MTS can send an e-mail to a configurable address.
