The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)

What is the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)?

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is a major EU cybersecurity regulation introduced under Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 in November 2024. It will become fully applicable in December 2027.

The regulation requires companies offering products or services with digital components within the EU to comply with defined cybersecurity requirements. Products need to comply to be allowed to carry the CE marking and be placed on the European market.

The CRA aims to improve the cybersecurity of connected products across their entire lifecycle, including secure design, maintenance, vulnerability handling and the reporting of security incidents.
