NCC V2 – Network Clock Controller

The NCC V2 is a network interface for single- or double-sided clocks. It provides a cyber secure network connection including a web interface, which allows the clock to be synchronized via NTP. Inside the clocks it controls and monitors up to two movements, the LED illumination and optionally a connected impact sensor.

Synchronization:

  • NTP synchronized
  • Up to 4 NTP servers configurable

MOBALine output for movements:

  • Drives up to two movements
  • Control of the different running modes for the second and minute hand: step wise or continuous
  • Monitoring of the movements
  • Control of operation mode: normal or 12:00 position

Illumination:

  • Drives one or two illumination circuits
  • Brightness configurable via web interface
  •  The illumination is controlled by the following means:
    • manually on/off
    • controlled by a switch program (uploaded as XML-file, createdbwith Switch Editor Basic)
    • illumination input for an 230VAC control signal (AC and VB
      variants only)
    • Supervision of the LED circuits including error reporting in case of failures

Power supply:

  • PoE or PoE+ power supply via network (PoE limited power)
  • Mains power Input (AC and VB variants only)
  • Power reserve for running clocks to 12h position if power is lost (NCC V2 VB variant only)

Network features:

  • Integrated web interface for device configuration and monitoring
  • Device monitoring
    • Syslog (RFC 5424)
    • SNMP get/traps (v2c/v3), SNMPv3 with authentication and encryption
  • IP configuration:
    • IPv4 (DHCP, static IP), IPv6 (autoconfiguration, DHCPv6, static IP)
    • SSDP (Simple Service Discovery Protocol) for device discovery
    • RESTCONF API for monitoring and configuration

Cyber Security:

  • Secure by design: hardware-based security (secure boot), encrypted user data, encrypted and signed firmware image
  • Secure access to the device with HTTPS
