NTP Time over Ethernet

Network Time Protocol – the usual way nowadays to distribute time and date over the Ethernet / LAN. The master clock acts as NTP-server, the slave clocks as NTP-clients.

Modern technique. The clocks do not only set themselves to the correct time, they can even be supervised. That means a malfunctioning clock can be recognized remotely on the operation terminal (Windows - PC). If available, the clocks are powered over the Ethernet cable directly (PoE).

New installations, usually integrated in a comprehensive IT infrastructure.
